29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(iii): The employer did not ensure that at least one entrance of sufficient area was provided to give access to the working space about electric equipment 600 Volts, nominal, or less:    (a) Stockroom - On October 25, 2019, the employer did not ensure electrical access panels were accessible. Electrical panels were blocked by materials such as merchandise boxes, materials carts, furniture and baskets with merchandise.     No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse:    (a) Stockroom - On October 25, 2019, the employer did not ensure merchandise boxes were stacked in a safe and stable manner exposing employees to struck hazards from falling boxes.     Pier 1 Imports (U.S.), Inc.  was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1910.176(b) which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1108181, Citation number 2, Item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on  December 16, 2016, with respect to the workplace located at 6010 North Port Washington Road, Glendale, WI, 53217.     No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries:  (a) Stockroom - On October 25, 2019, the employer did not ensure that a portable fire extinguisher located next to the electrical panel was readily accessible. The access to the portable fire extinguisher was blocked with merchandise boxes, materials carts, furniture and baskets with merchandise.       No abatement certification or documentation required.
