29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms or service rooms were not kept clean and orderly or in a sanitary condition:  (a) On or about 10/25/2019, in mail handling and processing areas throughout the facility, the employer did not keep ceiling tiles above employee work areas in sanitary condition, where mold and/or mildew was observed on the ceiling tiles throughout the facility and in close proximity to air vents creating respiratory hazards.  (b) On or about 10/25/2019, in the female rest/locker room, the employer did not keep walls and ceiling tiles in a sanitary condition where mold and/or mildew was observed on the ceiling tiles and walls creating respiratory hazards.  (c) On or about 10/25/2019, employee breakroom, the employer did not keep ceiling tiles and flooring in a sanitary condition in that mold and/or mildew was observed on the ceiling tiles and floors creating respiratory hazards.  The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of 1910.22(a)(1) standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1119279, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/30/16, with respect to a workplace located at 2365 1st Street N.E., Center Point, AL 35215.
