29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) JBLM Shopping Center, where a warning line system was used as a means of fall protection for employees engaged in non-roofing activities. Employees were performing tasks that included cutting holes in the pan decking and installing piping in the work area located on the east mall window wall portion of the flat roof. Hazard: Fall of approximately 22-26 feet to lower level.
