29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a.) On or about October 29, 2019, the employer failed to ensure that two ESCO Edge HCNC wire saws were guarded properly. The saws have physical guards around the area as well as light curtains at the entry location but are not equipped with additional safety equipment to prevent the machines from being started while an employee is working inside the light curtain area near the point of operation.
