OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to atmospheric hazards from steam blow through operations while performing confined space brick work. (a) Simplot, Don Plant, Boiler #1: On or about October 25, 2019, the controlling em0ployer, J.R. Simplot Company, while conducting steam blowouts on the super heaters, inadvertently heated up the soda ash wash and it condensed out into the boiler and exposed sub-contracted Guy Nielson Company employees to respiratory illness.
