Employees worked in a facility refining hemp oil.  This condition exposed employees to chemical hazards associated with use of chemicals such as, but not limited to, ethanol, nitrogen and isopropyl alcohol.

Employees worked in a facility refining hemp oil.  This condition exposed employees to chemical hazards associated with use of chemicals such as, but not limited to, ethanol, nitrogen and isopropyl alcohol.

29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator use:  (a) Hemp Nectar, LLC at 4424 County Road 43 Hudson, CO 80642: On and preceding 11/1/2019, the employer did not establish and maintain a written respiratory protection program, as specified in subparagraphs (c)(1)(i) through (ix) of 29 CFR 1910.134, in that employees were required to wear respirators during work operations.  Employees worked in a facility refining hemp oil. The employees were required to wear 1/2 mask tight fitting air purifying respirators with organic vapor cartridges. The employer did not have a written respiratory protection program. This condition potentially exposed the employees to a respiratory hazard.
