29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7): Industrial trucks were not examined at least daily before being placed in service.  Employees engaged in material handling activities throughout the machine shop, using the Clark LP Forklift, model #356405, and those in close proximity, were exposed to struck-by hazards in that the employer had not developed and implemented an examination program to identify and correct safety issues prior to operation.  The following items were found to be in need of inspection:  a)  The solid rubber tires showed signs of wear and cracking. b)  The forklift was not equipped with a seatbelt.  The model year could not be determined as the operators manual was not available  c)  The forklift control levers were not marked with their purpose
