29 CFR 1910.102(a): The in-plant transfer, handling, storage, and utilization of acetylene in cylinders was not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet G-1-2009, which is incorporated by reference as specified in 29 CFR 1910.6: a) 50 West Powhatan Avenue, Essington, PA 19029 - The employer did not ensure that a valve protection cap was mechanically attached, which was provided for in the cylinder design, on an acetylene cylinder while it was not in actual use, in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet G-1-2009, Section 5.2 - Rules for storing acetylene cylinders, thus exposing employees to struck-by and fire hazards. This condition was noted on November 4, 2019.

This condition was observed on November 4, 2019.
