29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces were not kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.  On or about November 8, 2019, and times prior thereto, in the stock room, the employer did not ensure that boxes of product and product carts (U-boats) were stored in a manner that allowed unobstructed access to and from the cooler/freezer, the employee break area, aisles in the store front, and the back of the stock room when retrieving merchandise boxes.  Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1330308, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 28, 2018, with a final abatement date of July 11, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 5508 McClellan Blvd., Anniston, AL 36206;  Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1143713, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 27, 2016, with a final abatement date of June 27, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 4030 Lawrenceville Hwy. NW Suite 4, Lilburn, GA 30047; and  Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1044065, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 6, 2015, with a final abatement date of March 6, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 905 U.S. Highway 12, Baraboo, WI 53913.

On or about November 8, 2019, and times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure that the stock room was free of tripping and fire hazards where boxes and U-boats (merchandise carts) were strewn in an unorganized manner throughout the storage area exposing employees to fire and tripping hazards.  Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.176(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1269761, citation number 1, item number 2B and was affirmed as a final order on September 7, 2018, with a final abatement date of September 10, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 1155 S. Havana Street, Unit 23, Aurora, CO 80012; and  Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.176(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1017821, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on December 9, 2015, with a final abatement date of November 4, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 630 Wellwood Avenue, Lindenhurst, NY 11757.

On or about November 8, 2019, and times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure that the exit route in the stock room was kept clear and unobstructed from boxes, merchandise, and product carts (U-boats) exposing employees to injuries in the event of an emergency.
