29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: a. In the facility, on or about 11/7/19: Employee using chemicals such as but not limited to Retail Chlorinated Cleaner which is corrosive in nature. The employee was not required to wear eye or face protection when using this chemical. Abatement certification must be provided for this item.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a. In the facility, on or about 11/7/19: Employee using chemicals such as but not limited to Retail Chlorinated Cleaner which is corrosive in nature. The facility did not have an emergency eyewash which was capable of delivering at least fifteen minutes of copious flushing as is required by the product safety data sheet (SDS). Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
