Such programs would support the employer and employees in identifying and avoiding potential hazards such as unguarded equipment during job site operations, decreasing the probability of employee injury and/or illness.

29 CFR 1926.304(i)(1): Each circular hand-fed rip saw was not guarded by a hood that completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut: a) On or about October 24, 2019 at the worksite located at 447 Auburn in Elyria, OH: The employer did not ensure the cutting blade on the DeWalt 10 inch table saw (model #DWE7480) was adequately guarded while in use. An employee suffered an amputation injury while using the unguarded saw to cut flooring.

An employee was received a partial finger amputations while operating a table saw.
