29 CFR 1910.1027(k)(1): Surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of cadmium:      On or about November 14th, 2019, at this laboratory testing facility work areas, the employees working in testing, evaluating, repairing, dimensioning and tolerance of high pressure equipment/fixtures such as metal alloy valves, pipe fitting, and other industrial instrumentation, and working surfaces were not regularly cleaned to prevent  avoidable cadmium exposure, such as those potentially caused by re-entrained cadmium dust.    Monitoring was conducted to ascertain cadmium presence and exposure. On November 14th, 2019 the wipes samples were taken to ascertain cadmium exposure from different work surfaces, such as, but not limited to lunchrooms, laboratory equipment and employees work stations and desks:    a) WIPE #5 - 1582.36 ug/ft2; and,  b) WIPE #7 - 9.53 ug/ft2.

Monitoring was conducted to ascertain hazardous chemicals presence and exposure. On November 14th, 2019 the wipes samples were taken to ascertain chemical exposure from different work surfaces, such as, but not limited to lunchrooms, laboratory equipment and employees work stations and desks:  a) WIPE #5 - 1582.36 ug/ft2 (Cadmium), 242.032 ug/ft2 (Vanadium Fume), 207.54 ug/ft2 (Cobalt), 1474.13  ug/ft2 (Molybdenum), 864.22 ug/ft2 (Nickel), 15779.065 ug/ft2 (Zinc Oxide Fume), 5522.34 ug/ft2 (Copper Fume),2898.01 ug/ft2 (Manganese Fume), 15579.33 ug/ft2 (Chromium); b) WIPE #7 - 9.53 ug/ft2 (Cadmium); and, c) WIPE #9 -11876.33 ug/ft2 (Iron Oxide Fume).
