29 CFR 1926.652(e)(1)(ii): Support systems shall be installed and removed in a manner that protects employees from cave-ins, structural collapses, or from being struck by members of the support system. On or about November 15, 2019, at a worksite located at the corner of West 7th Street and Jefferson Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, the employer did not ensure a superintendent/laborer working inside an approximately 6.5 foot deep trench, was protected from cave-ins while removing components of a support system.
