29 CFR 1910.106(e)(6)(ii): Category 1 or 2 flammable liquids, or Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint below 100 degree F (37.8 degree C), were dispensed into containers without the containers being electrically interconnected: a) Audi Volkswagen of Bozeman Service Shop: On or about November 15, 2019 and at times prior, employees were exposed to fire hazards while dispensing a Category 3 flammable liquid with a flashpoint of 88.00 degrees F (Audi Top Service Supplies Brand Windshield Washer Solvent Cold Weather Concentrate 35% VOC), Methanol, from an ungrounded plastic 55 gallon drum to unbonded plastic secondary containers.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the appropriate hazard warnings: a) Audi Volkswagen of Bozeman Service Shop: On or about November 15, 2019 and at times prior, employees were exposed to chemical hazards while working with chemicals such as but not limited to; Audi Top Service Supplies Brand Windshield Washer Solvent Cold Weather Concentrate 35% VOC (methanol), Purple Power Industrial Strength Cleaner/Degreaser (sodium hydroxide, diethylene glycol), gasoline and automobile coolant. The employer failed to ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provides at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals.
