29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: (a) U.S. Marshals Service at 700 Stewart Street, Seattle, WA-- CSO Control Room; A surge protector power strip was plugged into another surge protector power strip which powered Motorola radios. The UL listing states that relocatable power taps are designed to be plugged into an outlet, and not daisy chained and plugged into other relocatable power taps or extension cords. The U.S. Marshals Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1161665, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/22/2016, with respect to a workplace located at Tacoma, WA. 29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead: (a) U.S. Marshals Service at 700 Stewart Street, Seattle, WA-- First Floor Storage Room: The gun cleaning table had surface lead contamination. This exposes employees to lead ingestion hazards. *Please note that surfaces (other than glass or metal) are porous and gritty scrubbing cleaners (examples are Soft Scrub, Comet or Ajax) are sometimes needed to fully decontaminate the area from surface lead contamination. The U.S. Marshals Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1161665, citation number 1, item number 1B and was affirmed as a final order on 09/22/2016, with respect to a workplace located at Tacoma, WA.
