29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:   At this establishment, employees worked with corrosive chemicals in the commercial custom screen printing and embroidery fabric products manufacturing process and were not provided with an eye wash station for quick flushing.

29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE):   At this establishment, employees were exposed to hazards such as, but not limited to; flash fire, chemical burns and corrosive chemicals and materials. The employer did not assess and evaluate the workplace for the presence of hazards, which would require specific personal protective equipment (PPE), when employees were assigned to work with and around corrosives, flammable and combustible materials.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met:  At this establishment, employees were exposed to hazards such as, but not limited to, flash fire, chemical burns and corrosive chemicals and materials.  The employer had not implemented a Hazard Communication program with its required elements such as, but not limited to, chemical inventory list, and employees information and training on Safety Data Sheets and on hazards associated with chemicals used at this site.  The written program must also contain the following:  a. a list of all hazardous chemicals on site; b. the methods the employer will use to inform employees of the hazards associated with non-routine tasks involving       chemicals, such as a spill; c. the hazards of chemicals contained in piping that is not labeled;  d. employee training on the proper use of hazardous materials and requires personal protective equipment; and, e. the method the employer will use to inform other employers (contractors) of the chemicals their employees might        be exposed to while performing duties at this site.
