29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes must be free and unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp must be provided where the exit route is not substantially level.       a. On and/or before November 20, 2019, in the recycling area, exit routes were not free and unobstructed due to cardboard boxes, Styrofoam type material, trash, and/or other items which were stored/staged in the area enclosing the baler operation and obstructing entry and exit into and out of the area.     Williams Sonoma was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1018232, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on February 26, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 3301 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Suite 54 A, Metairie, LA 70002.     Williams-Sonoma Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1188559, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 17, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 4047 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77027.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Types of guarding. One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.       a. On and/or before November 20, 2019, in the recycling area, the Harris/Selco Baler (model: HL-50; S/N: 020170425) was not guarded on the control panel side where an access cover was removed due to damage, thereby exposing employees to struck-by and/or caught-in hazards from moving parts.

29 CFR 1910.305(b)(2)(i): All pull boxes, junction boxes, and fittings shall be provided with covers identified for the purpose. If metal covers are used, they shall be grounded. In completed installations, each outlet box shall have a cover, faceplate, or fixture canopy. Covers of outlet boxes having holes through which flexible cord pendants pass shall be provided with bushings designed for the purpose or shall have smooth, well-rounded surfaces on which the cords may bear.   a. On and/or before November 20, 2019, in the recycling area, the metal junction box containing electrical conductors for the dock light at door 21 did not have a cover.

Williams-Sonoma Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1188559, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 17, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 4047 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77027.    Williams-Sonoma Stores, Inc. Store #517 was previously cited for an equivalent violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1281710, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on January 10, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 5145 Peachtree Parkway, Suite #405, Norcross, GA 30092.
