29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: The controlling contractor is failing to ensure that their employees and the employees of the sub-contractor Victor Varela are protected from fall hazards while working on a residential roof. This most recently occurred on November 20, 2019 on the jobsite located at 3055 Armbrust Dr., Omaha, NE 68124. There were 2 employees from R&C Construction and 1 employee from Victor Varela observed installing new roofing materials on an existing house. None of the workers were utilizing any form of fall protection. The house has an 8 in 12 steep sloped pitch and ground to eve height is approximately 18.5 feet at the top level and 9.5 feet at the lower level.
