OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a struck by hazard during residential framing operations:    a) First Floor - Employees were exposed to a struck by hazard when constructing and attaching a staircase onto a joist that was not properly secured, on or about 11/04/2019.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1926.850(a): An engineering survey was not performed by a competent person to determine the conditions of the framing floors and walls and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations:    a) Site - The employer did not perform an engineering survey before employees began demolition operations on a three story residential row house, on or about November 03, 2019.    No abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
