29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  At the time of the injury on 11-12-2019, the Roofglider truss press point of operation was not guarded. An employee was able to position himself in an area near the point of operation where the operator did not see him when he cycled the machine. When the machine cycled the employee's leg was caught between the press and the table causing a compound fracture of his left leg.   Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation.  The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful.  The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.
