The guarding device shall be in conformity with any appropriate standards therefore, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, shall be so designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle: a) Work site was located at 605 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306 An employee was exposed to laceration hazards as he was working on the 44th floor using an employer provided DeWalt Chop Saw, Model Number D28710, Serial Number 073143, that was missing its guard. Violation was observed on November 20, 2019.

29 CFR 1926.403(b)(1): Employer did not ensure that electrical equipment is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) Work site was located at 605 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306 An employee was exposed to electrical shock hazards as he was working on the 44th floor while using an employer provided DeWalt Chop Saw, Model Number D28710, Serial Number 073143, that had a makeshift plug on it that was not a suitable replacement for the manufacturer's cord. Violation was observed on November 20, 2019.
