29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(2)(i): Engineering and work practice controls were not used to eliminate or minimize employees exposure: a) Operating room, on or about November 5, 2019 - Surgical technicians, Operating Room RN's and Surgical MD's used needles such as BD PrecisionGlide Needle 25G x 1 1/2; BD PrecisionGlide Needle 23gx 1 1/2 TW; BD PrecisionGlide Needle 18G x 1 1/2 and sutures such as Ethicon Prolene 30'' Ethiguard needle and Coated Vicryle Plus 27" 36mm 1/2c reverse cutting sutures during surgical procedures. These sharps and needle devices were not equipped with safety protected device to minimize the exposure to bloodbone pathogen injuries.
