29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: a) On December 4, 2019, Kirklands Stores, Inc. did not ensure that the exit route in front of the exit door located in the stockroom was kept free and unobstructed. The exit route was blocked by bags of garbage and broken down cardboard boxes, which resulted in the exit route being 22.5 inches wide at one point. b) On December 4, 2019, Kirklands Stores, Inc. did not ensure that the exit route leading to the exit doors located in the stockroom was kept free and unobstructed. The route leading to the exit doors was blocked by a rolling rack and large boxes of products, which resulted in the exit route being 13.5 inches wide at one point. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
