OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Public Law 91-596, the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, Section 5(a)(1): The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees. a. Green End 2, Kockums 66 inch Top Discharge Core Chipper - On or about December 4, 2019 employees were exposed to struck-by hazards, in that the employer did not check daily for worn parts, cracks or loose bolts and ensure that metal did not enter the chipper. The subject machine is no longer in operation and will not be placed back into service.
