29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    a) Woodshop: On or about November 30, 2019 and times prior, employees used a Powermatic 18" drill press to drill holes into wood pieces.  The rotating bit was not provided with a guard to prevent employee exposure to the flying chips and rotating parts.     b) Woodshop: On or about November 30, 2019 and times prior, employees used a Delta tabletop lathe to make wood parts. The rotating chuck was not provided with a guard to prevent employee exposure to the rotating parts.     c) Magazine Shop: On or about December 12, 2019 and times prior, employees used a Powermatic Drill Press to drill holes in wood parts.  The rotating drill bit was not provided with a guard to prevent employee exposure to the flying chips and rotating parts.     d) Magazine Shop: On or about December 12, 2019 and times prior, employees used a Voyager DVR Drill Press to drill holes in wood parts.  The rotating drill bit was not provided with a guard to prevent employee exposure to the flying chips and rotating parts.     e)Magazine Shop: On or about December 12, 2019 and times prior, employees used a Nova Galaxi lathe to manufacture wood parts. The rotating chuck was not provided with a guard to prevent employee exposure to the rotating parts.     f) Magazine Shop: On or about December 12, 2019, employees used a Laguna Revoieir lathe to manufacture wood parts. The rotating chuck was not provided with a guard to prevent employee exposure to the rotating parts.
