This was most recently documented on 12/19/2019 at the site location of 210 Walnut Street, Rm 707, Des Moines, IA, 50309. An extension cord was plugged into a relocatable power tap (connected in series) to power a computer charging cord.   c) The employer is failing to protect employees from fire and electrical hazards while utilizing relocatable power taps (known as power strips). This was most recently documented on 12/19/2019 at the site location of 210 Walnut Street, Rm 707, Des Moines, IA, 50309. An electric space heater was plugged into a relocatable power tap.    The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.303(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1391300, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/25/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 1 Poston Rd, Charleston, SC 29407.
