NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection. Please disregard the abatement date.

On or about December 18, 2019, at Molly's & SCUBA Dive Shop in Saint Croix, VI, in the corner between the diving masks wall display and the snorkels wall rack, one 10-pound, ABC dry chemical, portable fire extinguisher was not readily accessible. Visual and physical access to the extinguisher was hampered by multiple diving gear items hanging from the wall rack. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection. Please disregard the abatement date.

On or about December 18, 2019, at Molly's & SCUBA Dive Shop in Saint Croix, VI, in the rear side of the cash register counter, two series-connected relocatable power taps were connected to an extension cord and not directly connected, each one, to a permanently installed branch circuit receptacle. b. On or about December 18, 2019, at Molly's & SCUBA Dive Shop in Saint Croix, VI, in the diving tanks air compressor room, a relocatable power tap was connected to an extension cord instead to a permanently installed branch circuit receptacle. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.
