29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a) 79 Pioneer Lane, Selma AL; On or about December 17, 2019 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to potential hazardous energies in that employees were allowed to work on the Sorting Line which has multiple energy sources such as electric, air, and hydraulic without those employees having a written machine specific lock out procedure to ensure that those energy sources were controlled while the employees were performing maintenance or servicing on the machine.

29 CFR 1910.147(d)(3): All energy isolating devices that were needed to control the energy to the machine or equipment were not physically located and operated in such a manner as to isolate the machine or equipment from the energy source(s): a) 79 Pioneer Lane, Selma AL; On or about November 18, 2019 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to potential hazardous energies in that employees were required to work on the Sorting Line without isolating the machine from the energy source - employees were using a key switch versus the machines power disconnect (an energy isolating device) to isolate the machine from the energy source. b) 79 Pioneer Lane, Selma AL; On or about November 4, 2019 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to potential hazardous energies in that employees were required to work on the Shaker Bed without isolating the machine from the energy source - employees were using a key switch versus the machines power disconnect (an energy isolating device) to isolate the machine from the energy source.
