29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse: (a) Storage area of the back room: Employees were exposed to overhead, struck-by, tripping and fall hazards where boxed merchandise,, stacked above head height and in excess of 6 feet high, was not arranged in a stable manner to prevent it from falling onto or in the path of employees. Family Dollar Stores of Rhode Island, Inc. was previously cited for a serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.176(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1133313, citation number 1, item number 4(a) issued on July 29, 2016 and was affirmed as a final order on August 23, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 541 Smith Street, Providence, RI 02908. Family Dollar, Inc. was previously cited for a serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.176(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1404948, citation number 1, item number 2 issued on July 29, 2019 and was affirmed as a final order on August 23, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 825 W Pine, Wyoming, RI 82941.
