29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(iii): Powered industrial truck(s), with the operator dismounted and within 25 feet of the truck still in his view, did not have the load engaging means lowered, controls were not neutralized and brakes were not set to prevent movement: On or about December 31, 2019, and at times prior thereto, in the yard at the establishment, the employer did not ensure that the load engaging means was lowered, controls neutralized, and brakes set on the powered industrial truck (PIT) prior to the operator of the truck dismounting the PIT. This exposed an employee to a crushed by hazard.
