On or about 1/8/20, on site, for employees, dispensing corrosive chemicals such as, but not limited to, Bio-Terge 804 and Triton GR-5M Surfactant on a weekly basis. The employee provides ULINE Nitrile gloves and safety glasses. The employer did not conduct an assessment to provide proper PPE when handling corrosives such as safety goggles.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program included the requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i) and (e)(1)(ii): a). On or about 1/8/20, on site, for employees mixing products to make a shampoo product for dogs on a weekly basis. The employees dispense corrosive chemicals such as Bio-Terg 804 and Triton GR-5M Surfactant from a 55 gallon drum to a 1 gallon glass container using a hand pump on a weekly basis. The corrosive products contains chemicals such as, but not limited to, isopropanol and ethanol. The employer did not implement a site specific hazard communication program to include a written program, training, and labeling. b). On or about 1/8/20, on site, the employees dispense perfumes such as, Lilly De Pooch PF, Pooch Vip Fragrance, and Pooch De Pomme from a 55 gallon drum into smaller glass bottles on a weekly basis. The perfumes contains chemicals such as, but not limited to, ethanol and all are Category 2 flammable liquids. The employer did not implement a site specific hazard communication program to include a written program, training, and labeling.

On or about 1/8/20, on site, for employees mixing products to make a shampoo product for dogs on a weekly basis. The employees dispense chemicals such as Triton X45 Surfactant from a 55 gallon drum to a 1 gallon glass container using a hand pump on a weekly basis. The contains chemicals such as, but not limited to, polyethylene glycol octylphenyl ether. The employer did not implement labeling on the 55 gallon drum. b). On or about 1/8/20, on site, for employees mixing products to make a shampoo product for dogs on a weekly basis. The employees dispense corrosive chemicals such as Bio-Terg 804 and Triton GR-5M Surfactant from a 55 gallon drum to a 1 gallon container using a hand pump on a weekly basis.
