29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead:    (a) On or about January 7, 2020, the employer did not maintain a break room table, used by employees during breaks, as free as practicable of accumulations of lead. A wipe sample taken of residue on the break table, January 7, 2020 from a square measuring 6 inches on each side was determined to contain 58.119 µg of lead, equivalent to 232.5 µg of lead per square foot, 23.2 times the EPA's leaded dust hazard standard for floors (10 µg/ft²).    (b) On or about January 7, 2020, the employer did not maintain a keyboard for a computerized register terminal, used by employees throughout the workday, as free as practicable of accumulations of lead. A wipe sample taken on January 7, 2020 of the top-surface residue of the alphanumeric keys, numeric keypad, arrow keys, and commonly used keys including Tab, Left Shift, Right Shift, Backspace, Spacebar, and Enter Key was determined to contain 85.9 µg of lead, in excess of the EPA's leaded dust hazard standard for floors (10 µg/ft²).
