Flexible cords and cables may pass through doorways or other pinch points, if protection is provided to avoid damage. Employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards. Employees engaged in roofing activities were exposed to electrical hazards in that the extension cords used to power hand tools were not protected from damage when run through pinch points of a door.

Alejandro Bonilla was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1316505, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/21/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 6501 W. Employees engaged in commercial roofing activities, using a Louisville 24 foot metal extension ladder, model #F4145, were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 12 feet from the eave of the building to the ground below. Employees were exposed in that the ladder was not secured to the building and did not extend at least 3 feet above the eave. Alejandro Bonilla was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1316505, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/21/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 6501 W.
