In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with you certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Grinding machinery was not used with work rest(s) to support off-hand grinding work and/or work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one-eighth inch:     a) On January 16, 2020, C&G Systems Corporation, did not ensure there was a work rest installed on the Baldor 1215W - 2HP 12" Industrial Bench Grinder-208-230/460V to support off hand grinding work.     b) On or about January 9, 2020, C&G Systems Corporation, did not ensure the work rest was adjusted 1/8 of an inch on the red Mall bench grinder located along the west wall next to the exit door.      In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with you certification. 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met    (a) On January 16, 2020, C&G Systems Corporation did not implement at the workplace a written hazard communication program in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.1200 that describe at least the following:  1) Requirement for labeling of containers of hazardous chemicals:  2) Safety data sheet(s) availability;  3) Training of employees;  4) A complete list of hazardous chemicals known to be in the workplace;  5) Methods to inform employees of the hazards of non-routine tasks; and,  6) Methods to inform other employer(s) of material safety data sheets availability; the labeling system and any precautionary measures to protect employees.    The employees in the production department were exposed to hazardous chemicals, including but not limited to hexavalent chromium generated from welding stainless steel and CNC coolant, Tech Cool 35048 (containing petroleum distillates).    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstration that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
