29 CFR 1910.110(b)(17)(v): Open flames (except as provided for in paragraph (b)(11) of this section), cutting or welding, portable electric tools, and extension lights capable of igniting LP-Gas, were permitted within classified areas specified in Table H-28 where the LPGas facilities had not been freed of all liquid and vapor, or special precautions were not observed under carefully controlled conditions: (a) Maintenance Garage, 1528 New Stanton Ruffsdale Road, Ruffs Dale, PA: On or about January 17, 2020, employees were unloading liquid butane and butane fumes to conduct maintenance activities on a butane delivery truck with ignition sources near the proximity of the butane truck, creating potential fire hazards and burn injuries to the employees.

This provision does not apply to fixed electrical equipment at residential or commercial installations of LP-Gas systems or to systems covered by paragraph (e) or (g) of this section. (a) Maintenance Garage, 1528 New Stanton Ruffs Dale Road, Ruffs Dale, PA: On or about January 17, 2020, the maintenance garage had the potential for flammable vapors and was not in accordance with Class 1 Division 2 electrical equipment and wiring throughout the maintenance garage.
