29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch, as required by 29 CFR 1960.8(b):  (a) On or about January 22, 2020, and at times prior, the work rest on the grinder was not adjusted close enough to the surface of the right grinding wheel on the Skill 6 inch bench grinder in the maintenance shop.

29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch, as required by 29 CFR 1960.8(b):  (a) On or about January 22, 2020, and at times prior, the tongue guards on the Skill 6 inch Bench Grinder in the maintenance shop, were not adjusted close enough to the surface of the grinding wheel.  The left tongue guard was 7/16th inch from the wheel and the right tongue guard was loose exposing an opening of half an inch between the top of the guard and the grinding wheel.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii): The required working space about electric equipment rated 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground, was used for storage, as required by 29 CFR 1960.8(b):  (a)  On or about January 22, 2020, and at times prior, employees were exposed to fire and electrical hazards from cardboard and other items stored in front of the main electrical panel in the Divide Ranger Station office building.  The US Department of Agriculture was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1338266, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on October 11, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 6750 Navigator Way in Goleta, California.  The US Department of Agriculture was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1189684, citation number 1, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on January 10, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 2803 Jolly Road, Okemos, Michigan.
