On or about 27 January 2020, one worker was performing painting preparation activities using a Genie Boom Lift Model S-80X on the second floor balcony of a multi-family new residential under construction. While performing these painting preparation activities the worker climbed the mid rail of the genie boom lift. The workers operating the boom lift were not trained on the proper use of it before it was released for their use. Thus, exposing the workers to a fall hazard.
