29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: a. F-Basement Snack Bar: On or about January 29, 2020, a Magitronic re-locatable power tap, designed and listed for being used with high concentrations of low powered loads was instead used with high powered loads such as Avanti microwaves. b. 1st Floor Conference Rm Area: On or about January 29, 2020, the employer did not ensure multiple double duplex conduit outlet boxes with attached extension cords were properly mounted onto fixed surfaces such as walls or columns, rather than being improperly used as re-locatable power taps in the following instances: 1. Pepsi Cola Machine in hallway near conference room was plugged into an unmounted metal double duplex (4 spot) outlet box with a damaged extension cord attached. 2. Inside the conference room an unmounted metal double duplex (4 spot) outlet box with an extension cord attached was being improperly used as a relocatable power tap in efforts to supply power to electronic equipment such, as but not limited to projectors and computers. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
