29 CFR 1926.1153(f)(1): Housekeeping. The employer allowed dry sweeping or dry brushing where such activity could contribute to employee exposure to respirable crystalline silica and wet sweeping, HEPA-filtered vacuuming or other methods that minimize the likelihood of exposure were feasible: (a) On January 30, 2020 and at times prior, for employees exposed to silica hazards who were using brooms to sweep concrete dust and particles into a pile in the vicinity of 114 North Sixth Street, Bismarck, North Dakota.
