OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act: An employee was exposed to a recognized struck-by hazard associated with the ejection of parts and materials from a CNC lathe during operations:    (a) Machine Shop Floor: On January 30, 2020 an employee re-started the Samsung SL/30 CNC Lathe operations following a stoppage without taking necessary precautions to prevent a high speed collision between the cutting tool and work piece.    Among other methods, one or more feasible and acceptable methods of abatement to prevent this hazard would be to provide refresher training to CNC operators on practices for lining up the cutting tool with work piece following a stoppage.
