29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for the extremities was not used wherever chemical hazards are encountered that are capable of causing injury or impairment in the function of any part of the body through absorption or physical contact. a) Outer Limits Extension - On or about 1/22/20, a Chemical Operator was exposed to a chemical/thermal burn to the upper and lower extremities while adding chemicals to a process vessel. Appropriate personal protective equipment was not used to protect the employee(s) from injury through physical contact when an exothermic chemical reaction occurred. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
