29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment. a. On or about February 4, 2020, at the janitorial maintenance room of the Cost U Less store establishment in Saint Thomas, VI; a couple of electrical service panels/switches in the room were not readily accessible. The electrical service panels/switches were blocked by four boxes and cleaning materials stored in the floor below and in front, obstructing access. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was witnessed by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
