29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(i): Unused openings in boxes, raceways, auxiliary gutters, cabinets, equipment cases, or housings were not effectively closed to afford protection substantially equivalent to the wall of the equipment. a) Building 11000 near rooms 1110 A and B: On or about March 9, 2020, and at times prior, workers were exposed to an electrical hazard in that the bottom of an electrical enclosure at 7 feet 4.25 inches high was missing a one-foot section of the bottom cover which exposed two live 120 to 277 VAC electrical conductors to inadvertent contact. Abatement Note: The employer provided abatement photos after the on-site portion of the inspection had concluded (the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet is not required).

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)[A]: Flexible cords and / or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: a) Fire Station Garage: On or about February 13, 2020, and at times prior, an extension cord was used as permanent wiring to operate the automatic tank drain switch of an air compressor. Abatement Note: The employer followed Corrected During Inspection (CDI) abatement procedures (the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet is not required).
