29 CFR 1910.243(c)(3): Abrasive wheels used on vertical portable grinder(s) (right angle head grinders) were not provided with safety guard(s) having a maximum exposure angle of 180 degrees and located between the operator and wheel: a) Shop/Warehouse: On or about February 14, 2020 and at times prior thereto; two DeWalt hand-held angle grinders, DWE402 and D28402 were missing guards. Installers use angle grinders without guards to clean-up, resize, repair and fabricate metal gates and door parts where sparks and flying metal fragments could come in contact with the face and eyes. Note* Abatement certification IS required for this item.
