29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  At a jobsite located at 3580 G-2 SW Hollywood Dr. Lees Summit, MO, employees were exposed to flying particle hazards when using a nail gun to accomplish framing work.  The employees were not wearing any form of eye protection.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  At a jobsite located at 3580 G-2 SW Hollywood Dr. Lees Summit, MO, an employee engaged in framing activities was exposed to fall hazards when on a walking/working surface with an unprotected edge which was greater than 6 feet.  The exposed employee was not protected by any means of fall protection.    Giron Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1411669, citation number 1 item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 09/09/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 6743 W 135th street Overland Park, KS 66223.
