29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems.   On or about February 25, 2020, an employee was not protected from a fall while engaged in steel erection activities, such as puddle welding metal decking, exposing the employee to a fall of 19 feet.   D5 Iron Works, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.760(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number1378677, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on November 25, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 2000 E. Golf Rd. Schaumburg, IL 60173.   Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
