29 CFR 1910.28(b)(3)(i): The employer must ensure that each employee is protected from falling through any hole (including skylights) that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level by one or more of the following: (A) Covers; (B) Guardrail systems; (C) Travel restraint systems; or Personal fall arrest systems. (a) Barn loft: On or about February 4, 2020, employee(s) were exposed to fall hazards from an unprotected floor opening in the barn storage loft. Employee(s) were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 12 feet to the concrete floor below. No abatement certification or documentation required.
