29 CFR 1926.300(b)(1): Power operated tools that were designed to accommodate guards were not equipped with the guards when they were in use, to protect the operator and employees nearby from hazards such as ingoing nip point, rotating parts, flying chips, or sparks: a) Employees were exposed to laceration hazard when operating a grinder with an unguarded blade during masonry repointing work; a Bosch AG40 grinder with a 5 inch notched metal blade. Location: 50 Norfolk St, NY NY 10002 On or about 2/27/2020 NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASEFILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION NOR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.
