Citation amended to read as follows: OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards:    On or about February 28, 2020, and at times prior thereto; where employees operated overhead cranes to lift heavy steel structures with certain steel chain slings that had missing hook safety latches that did not secure the loads;     a. in building 11, crane #14 lifted a steel staircase with a steel chain sling missing the hook safety latches, and    b. in building 11, crane #13 was lifting structures with a steel chain sling missing hook safety latches.

On or about February 28, 2020, and at times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure all walking-working surfaces in the vicinity of (welding shop # 11 and crane # 14) were clear of slips, trips and fall hazards.

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed:   On or about February 28, 2020, and at times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure stored materials, welding equipment, cords and steel equipment being worked in the welding shop were kept clear and unobstructed to allow employees safe egress to emergency egress/exit routes.  Employees were exposed to entrapment and trips/falls along the exit route.
