An employee of ASG Construction was not wearing a hard hat while working below employees who were throwing roofing materials to the ground. Abatement note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) 555 Heritage Ave., Castle Rock, CO 80184: On or about March 5, 2020, employees of ASG Construction were observed tearing off and replacing the roof of a commercial building with a steep pitch. Employees were not protected from falling by one or more of the safety provisions listed in 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11). Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
